![]() The PSG-1 in GTA Vice City is one of the most powerful weapons in the game a full magazine will easily set any unarmored vehicles on fire. The PSG1 has a 7-round magazine, allowing for (brief) rapid firing, in contrast to the bolt-action mechanism of the regular Sniper Rifle. The reticle used is not a standard mil-dot, but the graduated sight found on the Russian SVD Dragunov's PSO-1 scope. The weapon in Grand Theft Auto IV is referred to in-game as the Combat Sniper, and is based on the Heckler & Koch PSG1. The laser point sight will leave a trace of red color. In the 3D Universe, the rifle is equipped with both a telescopic sight and a red laser point sight, seen when moving the aiming to a side. ![]() In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, the weapon is modeled after an SVD Dragunov, and is referred to as "Laser Sniper". In the later versions of GTA Vice City, the model features a suppressor which serves no purpose other than aesthetics, while in the original PS2 version and in GTA Liberty City Stories there is no suppressor, and the magazine is visually smaller. 308 Sniper, and it is labeled Laser Sighted Sniper Rifle in GTA Liberty City Stories. The rifle is labeled as " PSG-1" (which the real SR9T is derived from) only in the PS2 version of GTA Vice City all other versions label it. In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, the Combat Sniper is based on the Heckler & Koch SR9T. 4.4 Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes from Liberty City.4.3 Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.4.2 Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.Yea, you'll have to buy them again if you want them back. ![]() Will I have to repurchase it if I decide I want to use it again? The only guns that will return to your inventory is the starter pistol and limited edition guns (like the tommy gun ). You'll drop the gun and it doesn't come back. With your weapon wheel open, scroll to the gun you don't want and press triangle/Y. I personally never use SMG's or LMG's, so it'd be nice to replace that slot with an easy go-to for Stickies or the Minigun. You can. In fact, it'd be even better if we could reposition weapons on our weapon wheel. This also goes for the Snipers as OP implied, nobody uses the light Sniper after earning the Heavy Sniper. The weapon wheel is really cumbersome to use during the heat of a battle, and considering I only use the Carbine Rifle and Assault Rifle in my rifle class, I'd like remove the Advanced and Bullup Rifles. ![]() I really wish there was an option to unarm the weapons you don't want. dont blame your sh*tty sniping skills on a gun. The normal sniper isnt bad, its just the player aiming it. Defend yourself with an assault rifle or something. I hardly think taking sniper shots at players 100 metres away constitutes self defense anyway. add to this a nasty half-second delay from the input on the controller to when the shot is actually fired in-game and you have a weapon which can make even the mildest-mannered gta player want to stomp his controller through the telly in rage. the fire rate is appalling, twice as slow as the heavy sniper (despite what the stats say), the magazine holds 4 more bullets but this is meaningless when it basically feels like you're reloading after every shot. Words can't accurately describe how frustrating this rifle is to use but I'm gonna have a go anyway the damage from each shot is pathetic, generally takes me at least 2-3 shots to get the kill, sometimes more. The 'proper' sniper doesn't unlock until you reach rank 90 (which I'm nowhere near), forcing you to play and defend yourself in freeroam for a long time with surely one of the sh!ttiest weapons to have ever graced the series. starting over again with a new character makes you appreciate how slow and difficult it really is to rank up in this game. ![]()
