Otherwise the game will only use the first one and ignore the others. Just a small note: if you want to add multiple dinos to the same spawn container, don't add multiple lines of the above. If, for example, you set a dodo to spawn in an area up to a limit of 50%, the game will pick any creature to spawn in that area including dodos, until the dodo population is equal to 50% of the maximum number of dinos that can spawn in that area. This means that you can balance the creatures to spawn in an area without them completely overruling other spawns and preventing other dinos from appearing. MaxPercentageOfDesiredNumToAllow will set a maximum limit of how many creatures of this type can be spawned in an area, irrespective of spawn weight. Place that same entity ID in the NPCClassString field too, to identify that it is that creature which you want to set a limit to. Use the Entity ID found on this page here: NPCsToSpawnStrings is the identifier to dictate which creature to spawn. A high weight (2.0 or more) will make the creature more common, whie a low weight (less than 1.0) will reduce the chance of it's spawning. The entries can be found here: ĪnEntryName is just an identifier to help you see which spawn command is which, you can name it anything you like.ĮntryWeight is how frequently this creature will be spawned, in comparison to all other creatures in the area. NPCSpawnEntriesContainerClassString is the spawning node that you wish to add the creatures to, the location on the map where you want them to appear. Make sure it's all on a single line, with no line breaks. Then on the first line, paste this:ĬonfigAddNPCSpawnEntriesContainer=(NPCSpawnEntriesContainerClassString="",NPCSpawnEntries=((AnEntryName="",EntryWeight=,NPCsToSpawnStrings=(""))),NPCSpawnLimits=((NPCClassString="",MaxPercentageOfDesiredNumToAllow=))) Just go to your game.ini config file and open it up in a text editor like Windows Notepad. However getting other dinos to spawn on the map is totally possible. As mentioned above, dinos with special spawn mechanics, like the reaper and nameless' burrowing underground, may not work on other maps - you'd have to use the specific console commands to spawn those.
